Liszt did not use the solo version’s coda (instead he based it on the orchestral version, which ends quietly) in his 4-hand arrangement, so I made an original arrangement of it.

Advanced difficulty in both parts, but lots of fun to play!

Piano duet transcription of Schubert's famous Serenade (Ständchen), from his song cycle Schwanengesang (Swan Song), D. 957.

This arrangement is also based on Franz Liszt's transcription for solo piano.

The Liszt transcription portion begins where the melody moves to the tenor register of the piano and the accompanying chords move to the treble. I expanded Liszt's "echo" passage to have a double echo effect.

Late intermediate difficulty both parts.
